Mini Session time~Yes, we are going to do it again...We have had numerous requests for another Mini Session date....so here are the details!!!!

Mini Sessions are going to be Saturday, May 22, 2010

Our mini sessions are 25 minutes and include a CD of all of the high-resolution images from your session-that will be yours to keep (approximately 15-20 edited pictures). The cost is $75. We will edit your pictures, and then you can print them yourself, or we can order them for you...That will be completely up to you!!! The available times for booking a mini session are:
10 a.m

11 a.m.
11:30 a.m.
12 p.m.

2:00 p.m.

3:00 p.m.
3:30 p.m.

4:00 p.m.

We will be able to book 2 sessions at each time slot...I will be shooting one of them, and my partner Nicole, will be shooting the other....Looking forward to hearing from you....Location still to be determined.....

Spring is Just Around the Corner

Spring is just around the corner...It may not seem like it as the snow is flying around outside my window...but I promise you...it is...=)

We here at Still Moments Photography are wanting to get our name out there, and to do so thought we would come up with a little "contest" of sorts....Our goal is to get our FaceBook fans up to 1000~we are at 367 right now...So, here is how the contest is going to work....

1. If you are already a fan of SMP-simply post on our wall "I am a fan of SMP!"

~then~

2. Get your friends to become fans of our site, and once they do,-they need to do the same thing-Post on our wall, "I am a new fan of SMP!"

The 1000th wall post will recieve $100 worth of pictures...no sitting fee, and your location of choice within a 30 mile radius of our location...this does include actual prints!! No strings attatched....

In case you are wondering? "What's in this for me?" We are also going to give away another $100 worth of pictures to a random fan page member once we get to the goal of 1000....We have already pre-selected, by a random number generator, a number between 1 and 1000-to recieve this package. I will admit it...I have been doing a pathetic job at updating my blogs....I have friends and family that are emailing me wanting to know where I am? Ha ha....I know you can understand where my lack of time is, with three very busy kids, working a "real" job, and then spending my spare time pursuing my photography love...I can't call it a job...because it isn't like work to me...It is just a blessing for me to be able to do it...My clients are amazing people, and I have been truly blessed to be able to help them record a part of their lives in photos...

Nicole and I have been very busy over the past few weeks with mini sessions, regular sessions, editing and viewings....We are just about to crawl out from under our pile of work...and get caught up...

I am going to attempt to post some of our work from the past few weeks today...so bear with me...I have been post pics, but I use Facebook a lot!!! If you aren't on Facebook, join and become a fan of Still Moments Photography!!! I have been amazed at the number of customers I have booked this way...But I am constantly reminded that everyone is NOT on facebook, by my precious husband...so I will make an attempt to do better at blogging...I promise...hee hee...

Meet the Newest Member of Still Moments Photography

Hey guys...I am so excited to make this announcement...(I guess that is a formal way to put it lol) But I have been doing lots of praying, and God has directed me in this path. I went and talked with my good friend, Nicole Wallen, a few weeks ago, and asked her to join me in the photography business....She is an amazing photographer, and has the same love for her family and values making memories as much as I do...So, she has agreed to work with me...and we are super excited...Now we can schedule so many more sessions...and it is going to be amazing!!! I truly feel that God's hand is in this desicion, and we are going to do our best to give Him the recognition for ALL the blessing he gives us....

Here is a little "get~to~know~you" that I asked her to write for the blog...Many of you know her already, and if you don't-You will Love her...

"My name is Nicole Wallen. I am a Christian, mother, wife, daughter, friend and photographer! I have 3 children and I am married to my best friend. The first date will be August 29th....First appointment being at 11....and will schedule them every 30 minutes until 4......This shoot will be the "field session"

The second date will be September 12th...same times....and this session will be an "urban session"-Downtown Kingsport.....

I am writing this post just to update my customers on what is going on with my studio situation....We are dissapointed to say-that we are not going to be able to purchase the house. We ran into a few financing situations...so for now...business as usual...Just email me for any appointments....I know that God is in control of everything....So, He has a plan for us. A Dream May Be Coming True

Well, this is the surprise that I have been talking about...For quite some time now, I have had lots of ideas flying around in this crazy head of mine....I have lots of dreams, and my photography business is one of them...I have been truly blessed by how much my business has grown, and James and I have been doing lots of praying and searching for God's will-as far as this goes....And last week, this was what happened...We had been keeping an eye out for "older houses" ect. because that is what I picture putting a studio in...and I loved this one...(These are just a few pics I downloaded from the realtors site...I will take many more, when I get the opportunity-just wanted to share a few)I thought it was perfect...So, we decided to check with a realtor and look at it, I {heart} this house!! I already can envision "Still Moments Photography" here...We met with a few banks, and ended up making an offer...and the owner accepted!!! So, you are looking at the future location of Still Moments Photography!! (as long as the paperwork ect. goes through ok) Yippee!! And for those of you who know James and I personally...YES!! We are getting a roof on our house/garage too!!! Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey is an amazing class...and it helped us to get all of our debt paid off, except our house and car...and now due to our budgeting, this is going to be possible...God is so Good!!! I give Him all of the Glory and Praise....=) So, be on the lookout for the move...in a few months...and "Still Moments" will be offering so much more once we get moved in to our new location!! I am just SO EXCITED!!

I hope you and yours have a Blessed Christmas this year...Thanks to all the wonderful families that I got to meet this year, and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your lives...It truly is a blessing to photography your families, and your children.....God Bless...Be sure to remember this season, that Jesus is the Reason....Merry Christmas!!!

Target shoot??

I had this great idea the other day to do some pictures of my kids for Christmas in front of Target. For no other reason but the HUGE red concrete balls. . .looks a little like a Christmas ornament. . .For those of you who know me, you know I like pictures that are "different". Not your typical studio type shots. . .So this is definately different. . .I love them. . .We put on our Christmas t-shirts and went and 'stopped some traffic' to get these great shots. . .Ian told me, "If I see anyone I know, you are in trouble. . Appointments

I have been overwhelmed with calls and emails the last couple of weeks. I want to thank you guys so much for sharing your pictures with your family and friends. Word of mouth is a wonderful thing. It has amazed me the wonderful people that I have come in contact with while doing photographs for all of these amazing families. Well, I never thought I would say this, but I am booked up for the holiday season!! That is SO awesome!! I do have a few calls and emails to return but after that--I am booked! (Don't hesitate to give me a call though-I might have a cancellation) I don't plan on doing any sessions after December the 8th. I want to make sure that I can get all of my prints back in time for Christmas. Considering I work part time, night shifts, and am doing my photography business on the side--my family doesn't get much of my time. Christmas is one of the favorite holidays around the Allen house so I plan to take a couple of weeks off to spend some time with my family. I so enjoy spending time and working on making your family's pictures something special--but I want to make this time of year special for my kids. I have a full next couple of weeks, and I look forward to meeting all of the new people that I come into contact with. This is just awesome! A dream come true! My kids have been sick this past week with the stomach virus and it has slowed up the post processing process. . . : ( I plan on staying up late tonight to get these caught up before my next shoot on Saturday.
